Logo Question

I did my first family shoot yesterday and I am wondering if I need to put a logo on the pictures? I am just starting out so I can see why I shouldn't but I can also see why I should. Should I just put it on the images I will use for my portfolio?

I also have some stock photos, should I put a logo on those?

I don't think any of the stock agencies would take a pic with a logo on it. You might get photo credit in publication, depending on the use and agency set-up. For portraits, I'd think that's between you and the client. I'd ask them first (maybe show an example so they can see it's not too big, etc...)...then do it based on that. In the future, show it on all your samples, so people know what you'll do.
