Where Can I Get...? - 01-27-2007, 07:36 PM

So, I was thinking that the images I took today could have really used a little black top hat. I've been surfing the web and cant seem to find a location to buy this item.

Any ideas on where I could buy a children's black top hat?

I'm interested in this too (but I would need an adult sized top hat).

Ha ha.

Okay, thought I should clarify. I'm looking for a nice top hat. Not a hobo top hat. (We had the hobo lamp in my house growing up - anyone else have the hobo lamp? He had a tattered top hat). I'm thinking more like an opera top hat, not so much the hobo look.

I found a bunch of hobo ones, weird shapes, plastic, wool, and what-have-you.

I'm wanting a tall, old fashioned, 1800s (silk?) top hat in a tiny size for a baby. Any ideas?

Probably won't find a silk one or a child, especially an antique one since it was not general wear for children. Now you may find a small mens hat (under size 5) that may fit on a child but not a baby that is old. Try Ebay for your search, did a quick search under top hot and then narrowed it down to men's clothing and came up with quite a few some beaver some silk some old some new some costume while others dress.

One possibility is to find a company that makes hats and have one or two made that are small-not a one size fits all thing anyway.

http://www.2darksisters.com/gothichats.htm
makes smaller hats-may make even smaller than listed, just email them.
