Anyone make their own albums? - 02-07-2007, 12:37 PM

I've been seriously considering attending an AltF workshop to learn how to make my own flush mount albums. Does anyone in here do anything like this? Know how to do it? or know of any resources?
Thanks!

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

Not that this helps, but this guy makes his wedding books at his studio.

Thanks Jake, I'm gonna give him a call and see if I can get any info. AltF is claiming greater control, better product, and only 10% of the cost. Seems worth checking out to me.

I make my own albums and I prefer this method as it does allow total control of the process from start to finish. Cost is less, and the wait to get the album from a company like Graphi or Forbeyon is eliminated.

Coby,
Do you have any details that you can share on this process?

I have also gotten into making my own albums. They are fun to do, a fraction of the cost, better control and you control the quality.

How ever there is one downfall. Once you begin this you will be on the constant lookout for new and better materials. It also requires an little bit of an investment.

Nic, what specifically were you wondering about? Or what was keeping you from making your own?
