Cheerleading Photo Opportunity - Photographer Needed - 02-12-2007, 07:27 AM

All,

I was contacted by someone looking for a photographer/company to cover their event, but it is not something I have the time or resources to do. They said it would be great if I could check here, as they need someone and the event is not too far off. If anyone is interested in taking on this assignment or knows anyone in the KY/OH area that would be good for them to talk to please contact Terena at the info below. Here's what I know about the event:

Sport: Cheerleading
Date: March 3, 2007
Player Count: 300+
Team Count: 20+
Organization: Cheerfire Cheer & Dance Events
Event: Cheerfire Open Nationals
Website: www.cheerfireevents.com
Location: Northern KY Convention Center, Newport/Covington, KY / Cincinnati
OH area
Details: They are trying to locate an action and sports photographer for the
Cheerfire Cheer & Dance Events Open Nationals on March 3, in Covington/
Cincinnati Oh area. They need someone to do team group shots and on-stage action shots, with the ability for parents to view the pictures that day. If anyone can do this, they can reach Terena Wallingford at 606-422-6096 / cheerfireevents@yahoo.com

I'll check it out.
This is pretty much what I do.
I also shoot gymnastics and other indoor events.
Thanks for the lead.
I'll let you know what they say.

Ohio is a long way from Texas. I can't see charging enough to cover that kind of a trip. If I lived near Cincinatti I would jump on it.

Nothing is far when you fly.
I fly throughout the country shooting cheer gigs and gymnastics.
In the last couple of months I have been in SAC, Houston, Austin and Chicago.
You don't understand, these events can pull in some serious money, the companies I
work for have been doing this for years and know what it takes to get the job done.
It pays the bills and is worth going. My flight, room and board are covered by the vendors, so there is not cost to me. I just need to show up and shoot about 150 to 300 shots per routine so they can make their money back and some. Now, I don't know about this company since I have never worked for them, but I'll let you know if it works out.
This is what I do for a living, I am a sports action photographer as well as working with others in the the glamour field.
