the portrait side of this world is far from my expertise. Well actually everything in photography is far from my expertise...unless you're photographing a missile. I photographed a celebrity event a few months back and a lady called me and wants to discuss putting together a portfolio for her after seeing some of the work I did. She's thinking about trying to get into the modeling world. I've done some messin around with friends at the botanical gardens and they all do backflips when they see the photos but I'm not sure about how to approach her with pricing for this, especially since I don't have much experience outside of covering sporting events.
How do you TPFers go about portfolio pricing? I'm thinking about just charging her by the hour and then slapping on a fee for a specific amount of time post processing maybe the best 7-10 photos. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm meeting with her at 7pm tonight
