I have a system used by the so called psychics and I plan to implament it into this idea with the portraits BUT....I'm probably going to tie it in with someone who already has mary kay parties going on at the same time so they can get their makeup done and then get their portrait at the same time.

GREAT idea. You've inspired me. My buddy's girlfriend is like some kind of big wig in the MAC business for the DFW area. I don't remember her name but when I ran it by a few people they were like "oh yeah, she's the sh!t." I may have to do a coordination event. Ok so I've stolen your idea I'm a horrible person. I was actually referring to guys not wanting to be the participants in this type of event, not that guys wouldn't want to run it. What man in his right mind wouldn't want to be surrounded by a group of women??? Well I guess there are some out there who don't like it that way.

first, i'm glad you're inspired.

second, i'm married and I prefer not to be surrounded by women because I look like johnny depp (no kidding) and they don't leave me alone.

Last, I also have the exact system used for the psychic home parties which I'll probably adjust for this type of event and when it seems to be just right and I turn nice profits, I'll share it with you.

BUT...don't hold your breath because I will take my time to get it just right so it's probably 6 or 8 months out before I decide if its worth it.

Cheers,
Mike V

You poor man! Being cursed with looking good!

I'm just playing. I so didn't expect you to say that. You got a giggle...and my kids have pneumonia - so I'm bent out of shape - so the giggle was quite a feat.

I think it was Derrick Zoolander that said:

"you don't know how hard it is to be really, really, really, ridicously good looking"

I hope the kids are feeling better.

lol... my daughter just had her 10th b-day party and wanted to do a pictur party where she and her friends got to "model".

i calle din a favor with a makeup artist friend of mine and we made it an overall "Hollywood" theme--we acted like papparazzi when the guests arrived, served thema 3-course dinner (10 year olds don't need more courses than that), they each had their own floral arrangement at the ir seat and everything.

we had a BLAST, and getting party favors that are beautiful shots of your daughter... well that's just a bonus. i did some post-processing on the images and i've ordered prints for each girl.

I've offered to do portrait party type setups, but i've only actually done it twice, both of which were for boudoir shots and the "parties" consisted of 3-4 people. It was FUN.
