Ok - I had never heard of these until I stumbled on them a few minutes ago on a FLICKR page (didn't have a flickr account til this week)

So do those of you that have them still recommend them? Looking at them I think they will be a better fit for me right now than traditional business cards...

I picked some up not too long ago, I personally think they're really cool, they're definately high quality, they're coated and have almost a plastic feel to them. The down side is I've gotten mixed reactions when I give them out. A lot of people look at them funny like I've just given them a hand full of bird poop to hold. Others think they're really cool. A lot of people tell me they're affraid they'll loose it because its so small. They're about half the size of a normal card.

I will probably not buy them again but YMMV. Like I said they are very high quality, un-rippable because of the coating, and they even send them in a very cool plastic box.

One idea I think I read on here that I might try is to have a bunch made up from a photo shoot and give them to the client as a promo for free that they can give out to friends and family.

I've almost given away my entire first set. What I did was get 10 of my favourite images, across a variety of the genres I like to shoot (landscape, portrait, sports, 'austin') made in to the cards.

When I would give someone one of my cards it would always turn in to a mini-portfolio review. I'd let them pick their favourite from the 10. Good way to find out what people like and show them what you like to shoot too. I found it worked out well.
