Business Cards - 03-05-2007, 02:05 PM

I haven't tried these yet, but I think I am going to order a set to check them out... If your looking for new cards it might be worth a look at this sale price.

Canon gear all the way around, just toss in a bunch of other accessories and you have an addiction.

I posted about this last week. But I'm having a hard time figuring out the mpix press software thing. I set up my card according to the size limits of Vista and overnightprints.com, but when I transfer it into the press program, it's not sized appropriately. *sigh* I'm getting frustrated. Anyone have any advice?

I had the same problem. I had to make the card in the press software. It was alot of trial and error. Hopefully they'll come out right. When I previewed the image, it looks like everything is centered. We'll see.

Looks like I have to make a couple of orders.

Anyone trying the metallic print cards?

I thought about using metallic, but I was afraid it would be too much for the photos I was using.

Christie - even using the sizing info above, I still had problems. I would crop the image to the specified size (3.75in X2.25in) and when I inserted it into the mpixpress program, I would have to resize it again in the mpixpress.

i found the mpix business cards to be FAR subpar and far more expensive than the beautiful 2-sided color glossy ones i ordered from americasprinter.com.

i got like over 1000 cards for $65.

i got one small box from mpix for like 40 bucks. and they were a lot flimsier than the AP ones.

Yup, me too. Oh well, I'm just too darned frustrated to sit here and get it to work.

I've ordered 1000 double sided, glossy business cards for $56.25 from Overnight prints. I am pleased with their quality and they are also a lot cheaper than mpix. I have not seen any mpix cards in person though.

Even with 50% off, it doesn't seem like a good deal.

Lisa,

I just got the sample kit in the mail from overnightprints.com and I think I agree with you they are cheaper and the quality of the samples they send seems very nice. And they are cheaper than MPIX's sales price regularly.

I have been using WHCC and love everything about them. They also have EXCELLENT customer service. It was a little bit of the trial and error sizing situation you had with MPIX, but once I figured it out, it was easy breezy.

I just got my cards from Mpix. I will never use Mpix again. The printing is horrible. I should have listened to the forum.
