Thank you all for the comments on the pictures! ...and about the RR, I suppose I can see how it's a security issue, but if RR police is really are like they sound, why are they so strict? I mean, unless you can see a train approaching in the background, I don't really see a reason for them to be soooooooooo strict.

I mean, c'mon, the tracks DO cross roads and you have to drive accross them all the time, wouldn't THAT be a security/safety issue as well?

bleh... regardless, it is what it is and I'll keep that in mind as to not get a ticket :)

Let's see for $40. I will probably be at the studio for a scheduled session M-F. If I actually make images you can double it. If we go on location double it again. And if you actually purchase images you should plan to spend over $500. total for a decent pkg. BTW, I no longer do sessions for the experience. And not to get on your case, but I think your prices are beyond way too low.

With prices - to give you a benchmark. Sears charges $25 per person - sitting fee. Then if you want to purchase the digital negs (6 images max) its another $35. No travel, no processing, no nothing. So, you're around Wall World prices.

BUT - you there are many people that get queasy asking for money on their 1st gig. I referred a low budget bride to my friend, and worked out the price with the bride ahead of time. Somehow my friend ended up getting talked down to $125 to cover a whole wedding!

Be proud man - your stuff is good!

Oh this is funny! Last weekend I took my wife who is an attorney and took some pics of her sitting on a rail roadtrack in downtown Ft. Worth.

The kicker is my wife is a corporate attorney and works for a large company in down town Dallas but guess who she used to work for ????????????????????????????? Burlington Northern Railway in Ft. Worth! : )

She made some comment about we are going to get in trouble so be quick but, I don't think she even knew we could get tickets etc.... Thats to funny.

Since he included the CD, he's lower than even that.

Don't be afraid to charge for your work. There are a lot of GREAT photographers out there who never figure this out and never make money equal to their skill.... and there are a lot of mediocre photographers who make lots of money at it.

The difference? One of them treats it like a business. The other does not.

Don't worry about which category your skill level is in. If someone is giving you money, you are good enough to be charging. Charge enough to make money at it.
