pinning ceremony for nursing grad - 03-14-2007, 11:51 AM

I have been asked to do a pinning ceremony for a nursing graduate. It is about 2.5 hours of shooting hours. I will be required to take a group photo and individual pictures before and after the ceremony. I can also take pics around the ceremony and put them on the website to sell. I am not sure what to charge. I am also a little worried about lighting for the group shot. The event is in a church. Ressurection metropolitan community church in Houston. This is really my first event shoot. - besides weddings.
The guy who they contacted first charged 750 plus pictures. I thought I would just go with that.

My questions
1. lighting advise
2. price
3. anything I need to know about this type of ceremony?
