Labels pay about $1500 a day for shoots. So a small independent is going to expect to pay much less. It really varies from band to band and what they need them for. I have a base price for local/non-local shoots, but almost NEVER use that price. It is just ballpark depending on other factors.
If it isn't something you do often, consider what other work MIGHT come out of it. If you have a niche market where you have a really good reputation, you can charge a little less knowing that the market is yours sometimes.
If you are thinking of getting into that sort of work, you might just try to cover your time and effort, and look at it as a way to market yourself to that particular genre.
That is how I got started. Just my two cents. I am sure others did it differently.
