Something don't smell right with the "Women Only" thing since no kids should be without chaperones at a shoot no matter what sex they are so there should be no problems with a man shooting the photos.

portrait photography for young girls
And because of that, they want only women photographers.

Exactly what is it these girls will be doing for the camera that a man can't shoot it?

I understand where they are comming from. Like it or not there are thousands and thousands of sick people (mostly men) who prey on children. The poster of the add was probably concerned it would draw pedofile men.
Someone sent me a link to a website that tracks these guys on a map and I was disgusted to find 5 lived within 1 mile of my house, and its a nice neighborhood...
Good for them IMO

It would be better (for them) if they don't specify and just don't hire men if they don't want men. Posting like that makes them look very suspicious and/or shows them to be discriminatory. You can choose to hire or not hire whoever you want but if you specify why you can get yourself into a lot of trouble- depending on certain variables, of course. To me, it looks creepy at the most or at the very least unprofessional.

Edited to say: Looks like I'm too old for it, anyway. Age discrimination is another violation in most cases.

Wow. Did anyone call about the opportunity? : ) Good thing no one is photographing all these crazy imaginative scenes sparked by the ad. Makes you wonder about the things that really go on inside peoples' heads. That thought never crossed my mind when I read it.
