thanks for the reply Scott. Don't I just need to file a 1099? When i say freelancer, I guess technically I'm using them as an independent contractor.

You might consider adding a consulting agreement and non-disclosure form. If the work is proprietary in any way then I'd also add a non-compete to the non-disclosure. I hire consultants in my day job all the time. In fact I just hired one today and she will be filling out all the forms I mentioned here. Good luck. |
