Anyone know anything about Business Grants from the government? I've seen adds about them but they always want you to pay some outrages amount for something that is probably available for free if I only knew where to luck.

I bought one of those books from Matthew Lesko (the crazy guy that wears the funky colored suit with dollar signs on it). From what I found in it:

If you are white
If you live in Texas
If you are not a vet
If you are male

You might as well forget it

At the current rate...I would assume at some point that may change due to demographics....who knows...

What if I got a really dark tan and started speaking Jamacan?

Good site James. Thats the exact reason I won't pay them for information that should be free to the public. It's like all those adds you see for government auctions. You end up paying $20 or more and by the time you get the info it's out of date. Plus with the auctions all you have to do is talk to the local police department or court house and they can get the information for you for free.

I'll have to just keep searching and hope the government figures out that we all should be entitled to the grants as long as they are for legit use. I have been thinking of opening a welding shop for years but it's expensive and it sure would be great to recieve a little help. I have about half the equipment I need but to be competetive I still need about another $75 to $100 thousand, would have to add on to my shop I already have.
