I was wondering if anyone gave this a try? I remember seeing other companies that also offer this type of co-op. Has anyone tried it?

Good Morning Holly
As far as CO-OP, no. Since we have talked in San Antonio at the bridal workshop, I have been doing a lot of thinking head pounding on marketing.
I looked into PortraitEFX franchise system.
Do you do church and small school directories there in Abilene. If so who does your printing of the books. I talked to Art Leather and they are not set up for that kind of work.

Thanks again for that workshop.

I thought about doing it, but since this was my first year with PPA, I was hesitant. Maybe something on a more local level I would probably be more comfortable with, but this was too big for me....

I looked into it too but it really doesn't seem like anything my clients would be interested in. I think the deadline was in March for photogs to sign up though.

Holly,

Maybe you could do it on your own? I am not sure of your cash flow but, I saw a studio that offered it and it was not through any affiliation.

They were telling Sr's that anyone that brought in 10 others could be elligble for the drawing and it was $2500 cash, A trip to Mexico or something else I can't remember. Their pick. My guess is the cash was the pick but you get the idea. They stated they had done this for the last 5 years so it must have worked good for them. I am at a loss right now on the studio but I found it doing a search on Google for High School Sr. Photography. Not sure if thats the market you want or something else? I guess for brides and grooms you could offer a free honeymoon trip or cash. They are always looking for both when your young and getting married.

What does a wedding cost now days? If you wanted to do it up really big you could offer a free wedding? (Just joking)

Paul
