First attempt at Business Card. C&C welcome. - 05-18-2007, 05:29 PM

Trying to get some new more Professional looking business cards and decided I would try my hand at making one of my own. This was all done in Photoshop and my # is left out on the one here but in the one for print it will be located in far right corner by my website address.

Anyway I would love to hear your thoughts and comments and anything I could do different. Or should I toss it altogether and have someone else help me?

Thanks,

Steve

I like the layout, but you have too many different fonts happening. I would simplify it.

Especially the pbase link font.. avoid using anything too fancy for links, they are hard to read and you want your prospective client to type it in correctly.

Try a more readable font, and is the image on the top right corner compressed to fit horizontally?

I agree with most everyone. If the script initials on the left are your logo thats cool but the rest of it should be in a more common font. I also noticed that the pics were of slightly different widths. It struck me that they might look better more evenly spaced over your name. If you make the font clean and do a picture collage on the back then it would totally rock, too.

I tried making my first card using Prints Made Easy. http://www.printsmadeeasy.com The builder is pretty intuitive and I whipped up something in about 45 minutes - most of that was just deciding on pics and fonts. Here is my final design: http://www.printsmadeeasy.com/loadpr...identify=blue2

well, i dont mean to be critical, but i don't think i like the last two pictures on the right that much ... the complexion of the guys skin is kind of pale and it makes it seem a bit unattractive (even if he is actually that color)

also the last picture is the widest, but it actually feels like a bit of an odd picture .. when i look at it, i suppose it is a bridal picture, but she is holding onto some time of a rope with each hand and I don't really know why she is holding those ropes

i guess the picture is the widest because you want to show the roses to the left, but it just feels a bit odd, and because it's the wides it makes you pay attention to it a bit more...

the layout is very nice however, and i think the card will work well for you overall ...
