Hello!
I've been inspired by a few recent threads here and have decided to post a sort of "Cry for Help!" As an professional amateur, I would love to leech myself onto a working pro and learn everything that goes on between the first client email or phone call to the last print delivery...and on to the very next referral!

I'm an amateur in the business of photography, but I'd say that I am a professional creative behind the camera. (is there such a thing??!) I have a daytime job as a marketing and advertising director for a retail startup in downtown (www.cookiedelivery.com), so I work almost 6 days a week, no more than 50 hours, though.

Please check my flickr for my most recent photos and to get a feel for my photographic style. I update almost daily. I'd say that I like to challenge the norm and take pictures from different perspectives.

I know there are a lot of other amateurs out there itching to learn and there aren't enough pros out there to help everyone...but if any pro is willing to take a chance on me, I'm friendly, passionate, hard working, creative, and have a relatively smooth brain. (aka, more wrinkles to be formed...ok, really stupid analogy).

So if anyone out there would be willing to take me under their wing, I can guarantee that I will be eager, listen carefully, bring starbucks, and always have my camera on. Thanks!

I need to move to Dallas. I spent 4 months looking for an intern b4 I finally found one. Keep asking, someone will need help eventually. Or you can take the 'show up with starbucks' method and see how it goes. At the very least, you'll be memorable. At the very most, you'll get what you wanted. Our 1st intern called and BEGGED for an interview. If its something you want to do, keep asking. Sorry Im not more help.

Thanks Holly! You've been a tremendous help already! If you hear of anybody needing help, you know who to point them to. (Me, in case you didn't get that subtle hint). ;-)

In addition to shooting/learning/holding heavy bags (I don't do light ones, btw...only heavy ones), I am proficient in Photoshop and Lightroom for people who need help post processing or just rating pictures. :-)
