Contract For Mua? - 06-08-2007, 04:14 PM

I am working on a project and am needing MUA services. There will be no pay for this , only exchange for 8x10 prints of the images I select for the final showing and resized files for MUA's website/advertisements if they request them.

Do I need a contract to cover my back for this? if so, does anyone happen to have a standard format I could use that would apply to an MUA?

Hey Erica, I think it would be useful to have a contract for your MUA services, just like with a model, assistant, or any other hired help.

I do not have a contract for this, but I would think a modified model release might work just as well. Simple language usually prevails. My wife, who is a MUA and model, says that she has never been asked to sign a contract like this, but would have no qualms if she needed to for a photographer. I'm a pro-contract kind of guy, just so all the terms on both sides of the game are clear.
