selling prints in bulk?

Ugh. I just had a lady contact me with interest in a Christmas session.
She wants to know what I would charge for 300 4x6 prints, to put in her Christmas card. I don't offer 4x6s in my price list. I have no idea what I should charge for that many, or if I should just direct her to my cards and offer those at a discount?

Any suggestions?

Cards would be the way to go for me. If you're getting them from someplace like WHCC, you can get 300 for about a buck each--including envelopes. You can put your studio info on the back, and "ta-daaa"...free advertising.

I'd show her a mock up card, and sell them to her at a reasonable price--it's worth the advertising IMHO.

They even have a sale going until July 4th, if you could get her to move that quickly.

You have to know she will be going Sam's club or Walgreens for pricing as well.
I would make sure that your contract stipulates the entire purchase, or has a hefty sitting fee attached.
