Postcard Question - 06-27-2007, 06:41 PM

I've noticed that Printing Companies offer Postcards. Are these Postcards the advertisement kind (4x6 or 5x7) where you advertise your business or are these Postcards that you sell to tourists with a photo on one side and writing space on the back? I am interested in postcards that tourists can pick to mail to friends. Who prints this type of postcard? TIA

Sergio,

I believe you can have whatever you want printed on them. Just make sure you are able to write on one side. Some of the coatings are a little hard to write on. Perhaps you should give the company a call before submitting your order.

Sergio - I don't know what printing company you're thinking about using, but let me throw in the option of using MPIX. For mine and my wife's rehearsal dinner, I made a post card to send as the invitation and used MPIX. I don't remember how much it was, but to me, it was affordable. One side was gloss and the other was matte, almost like cardboard. It was a great product and you can put whatever you want on either side, just like Rusty said. The print and weight quality was excellent. Good luck and if you have any specific questions about the mpix product, let me know.

Thank you Rusty, I'll be sure and call before ordering. Maybe I can get a sample before ordering a batch.

Kenneth, thanks for the suggestion. I've ordered photos from MPIX before and was pleased with their product and service. It's good to know you were pleased with the postcards as well.
