OK, I know I seen this mentioned, but can't find it for anything....
if someone is sending me a package through UPS or FedEx, is there a way to track it without a tracking number? Or do I have to wait for the info notice on my door?

You can sometimes track it with a reference number, which is usually your order number (if you've ordered something). You can always ask the shipper to give you a tracking number.

You can also try calling FedEx or UPS. The FedEx guys have always been very nice when we've called.

Call the shipper. You'll need the name & address of the sender and the delivery address (your home or business or whatever) plus the approximate date the order was shipped.

I've called both fedex and ups and i've just given them my info and they were able to tell me if there was a package on the way or not and when it's scheduled for delivery....of course with some customer service reps your mileage may vary, but it's always worked for me
