Presentation Software - 08-12-2007, 06:51 PM

Does anyone know of a good presentation software? I'm looking for something that will allow side by side comparisons and possibly create invoices, etc. I know Lightroom has a slide show function, but I have stuff for that. The side by side comparison feature would be what i need most. Thanks

We have used ProSelect for a couple of years and are very happy with it. It allows you to compare images side by side, shows cropping, instant B&W and Sepia previews, and several other features such as custom multiple opening mats. The basic version is less than $100.00. There is an advanced version that will open images in PhotoShop and save retouching and prepare order for lab upload. I believe the advanced version will also print invoices.

Hey, I don't know if there's anyone here in Dallas that might let me visit their studio to see ProSelect at work in person? I'm just getting back into photography, and it's something I'll want to invest in later, but not at the moment. However, I'd like to see what all the raves are about! PM me if anyone might be kind enough to let me see it! Thanks!

Shannon

third on the proselect. very nice and love the PS plugins. you can pretty much do everything right there in front of the client and ship it to the lab and give them an invoice before they leave. I would recommend using a plasma tv that does 1080i or lcd tv instead of a projector. I have never been happy with the colors from a projectors. you can get a video card that will out put 1080i to the plasma or lcd and it looks great. Just like looking at a computer monitor.

found it. http://www.ronnichols.com he has a palette for retouching that works with proselect. very fast and very well done.

I second this. Ron is a friend of mine, and was just here helping me with a few things in the studio last week. He showed me some of the new features in ProSelect and his Retouching Pallet. I've used both tools for a couple years. Can't say enough about them. PS is a great sales tool, and the Pallet saves me oodles of time!
