signing prints, which pen? - 08-17-2007, 04:33 PM

I normally use an electronic "signature" to put my name on prints I sell to clients, but for large prints I would rather actually sign them. I purchased a silver and a gold metallic marker today to sign my prints but the tips seem a bit large for me. I would like to use something with a finer point. Any suggestions? No black, just silver and gold.

Are these any narrower? It is a Metallic Sharpie Calligraphy Marker.

If not, maybe just go to an art supply store or some place like Hobby Lobby or Michaels and look through all of the pens and markers. There might be even be something in the scrap booking supplies, but I couldn't tell you for sure about that because I do not scrap book.

Martin,

I think this is what you are looking for: Goldwriter Pen

Takes a littkle getting used to, but way nicer looking than a sharpie.

You probably want to make sure the ink is archival safe if people are planning on keeping these prints for any length of time.

I tend to just sign the mat in pencil.
