It'll depend on your needs. Most commonly accountholders focus on convenience which includes locations and internet capabilities. Next, fee avoidance - what services will you use and what do the front running banks offer you? It shouldn't be too hard to find a low or no cost account.
You may be interested in credit card processing, debit card availability and look at the terms and costs of each. How soon will they make your deposits available to you, especially if you have checks in your deposits from out of the area. Also ask how they process your checks, larger items first, smaller, numerical or in the order they're presented. If you won't have a large cushion in your deposited balance and may have an NSF check once in awhile, paying smaller items first works best.
This is from a bankers perspective. Small business owners will certainly have additions. |
