Who here mounts their own prints and where do you get your mounting boards and which ones do you use? I know there are a few different kinds out there. Some have the adhesive already on the board and some you have to spray. How hard or easy is it to mount your own? When I order nice mounted prints this is one thing that really adds to the price. It would be nice to learn to start doing it myself and save some of the overhead cost.

We mount prints up to 11X14. Above that size I would rather have the lab eat a mistake. We use Savage repositionable mountboard with the adhesive already on it. We buy it direct from savage, but they only sell direct in case quantities. http://www.savagepaper.com/ They also sell background paper and studio lighting.

Thanks bon....I mean Don. I just shot them an email. Anyone know of a retail source that sales GatorFoam and is it something fairly simple to use?

I would wander into the nearest art supply store. They should have all of most of the supplies you need for mounting photos and people who can explain how they are used.
I am lucky to have a Jerry's Artarama near me. The name seems a little silly, but the merchandise and advice is good.

Don, I notice Savage has both Nucor and Prestax available in repositional mounts. I found that B&H sells both. They don't give much info about the Nucor but it's more expensive and only doesn't come individually like the Prestax. Anyone know the difference between the two?
