Hi, just wondering how to adjust fees for shooting architecture for usage rights?
I did a shoot for a friend (one time freebie) and was wondering how to charge for something like this and what usage rights would be included? We were only in the house for 2 hours and then I spent probably another 2-3 hours on PP so at $100/hr it comes to about $400-500 of my time. What kind of usage rights would you include for this? Low res web use, industry publications, etc... I couldn't see much of a need for enlargements/prints for this kind of thing but I'm sure it could happen once in a while in which case that would be an extra charge but would you hand off the high res pics to begin with? Or "high res" at a certain size like 5x7 or 8x10 which would be good enough for a magazine but that's about it? The shot of the outside of the back of the house is in this month's House & Home here in Houston.
I posted this in another section but here's the shoot to give you an idea of what we did...
