Question for Current Smugmug Pro Users

I am about to pull the trigger on a Smugmug pro site. Since I completed my masters degree earlier this year, got a promotion, and getting over some elbow surgery, I will have the time to refocus on starting my part-time business.

I've researched all of my options for the past few weeks, and decided I will start with Smugmug. The question is who here is a Smugmug Pro user that has a code I can use? :) I would rather the code benefit someone here on the boards rather than some random code I can google.

I customized my site http://kdmyersphotography.smugmug.com in 1 evening with some cut and paste and a healthy serving of trial and error. You shouldn't have any problems.

The code gives the new member and the member who gave the code small discounts.

I'm grandfathered in at smugmug on their original deal.. but I must say, I've never had a complaint about them.

I'm a power user and use smugmug for online viewing galleries. I really like using it. My pictures look great and I can customize the galleries the way I want. There's a great option too to allow a viewer to save a copy of the original image to their computer (this can be turned on and off). Sometimes it's quicker and easier than making a CD because the option to get their files is on the site.

- frequent maintance downtimes
- no packages available for sale(back then they did not offer it)
- my needs out grew what they offered.

I'm not part of their marketing department, but they are much improved over what they once were. Not sure if they offer packages yet--that's always been my main beef, though.

I don't use them for printing because they were rolling everything that was larger than 8x10... I use them to serve images, but spun my own PayPal checkout and use Miller's for fulfillment.

No no package deals yet, I understand they changed print services, not sure. I started to go with Exposure Manager but had no clue how to do HTML. Some day I'll may try and go bigger better.

Ken I do like the way you did your about me page. I need to try and do something like that. Did you find that on the dgrin forum?
