Anyone use "group" releases? - 10-17-2007, 05:56 PM

I'm doing some event photos for several church groups in the area. I want to use some of the shots on my web page, for advertising, possibly for competition. How would you handle the release process? Has anyone ever heard of a "group" release that each pastor or group leader would sign? Individual releases would be best, but trying to get a release from 1000+ people would be difficult, if not impossible to do.

Thanks.

For large groups I've used a "sign in here" approach.
At the entrance areas I will have clip boards, and they will have sign in sheet.
A short sentence or two explaining that a photographer is present at the event and that their presence authorized use of the photos by that photographer.
If someone doesn't want their photo taken, it is up to them to tell the photographer.
It doesn't release their rights, just notifies them.
