Business cards - 11-02-2007, 11:39 PM

ok so I was going to be lazy and leave it as is which is this way

but since I actually have gotten a few e-mails from my website loving this pic which is one of my favorites too I figured it may be good to have it show my work as advertisement as well?
this is just the front I have not done the back yet
option #1

option #2

and option #3

which one? or what can I do to improve the front?

ok, help me out here, what is the difference in 3 options? I know it's late but I'm having a problem seeing the difference in the 3.

I think the best one is #3 althought I really like style of the first one. Although for the last few options I would either make the photo bigger to fit the width of your website address or shorten your web address to the width of the photo. It just distracts the eye to see it off line. Maybe if you want to keep them the same sizes....center your address under the photo? Just a thought.

I like the 3rd one, the colors look the best. Of course I'm partial to that picture cause it's my cousin!

I like the third one, but I would lose the dots, for me they distract from the signature and photo. I would line-up the words column so that it centers horz. with the photo.
No phone # or email?

Thanks... I will put my phone with two more images in the back of it... I may leave it as my original the back but I really wanted to change the front!

I realize that this is from yesterday and my opinion may actually follow the order...

I would like to see how that image displays in the actual size it would be on a business card. IMO, the original image would make a bigger impact because of the simple face shot, positioning, etc. At business card size it will be less than 1/4 the size on my (laptop) screen. That is very small to be able to see any detail in a full body portrait. Even at 4x the biz card size, I had to read what you shoot to decipher the significance of the portrait being a maternity shot. While it is a lovely photo, it may not be the best advertisement at the size you need.

i don't like the bullet points in the third option ... i don't know why but it kind of takes away from the creative side of things to just list all the things you do in a bullet fashion ....

the fonts and all are fine, but maybe try playing with the layout and spacing a bit more to see how else it can look if you feel inclined ...
