Help... Need Backdrop Info - 11-07-2007, 12:24 PM

Got an on-site company event job that was suppose to have a Christmas set backdrop built into it. I was just informormed that it was scrapped and I need to provide a non-offensive generic Christmas backdrop now. It must be approved by the company before using it. Any suggestions as to where I can find, purchase or rent such a backdrop? Thanx in advance.

that sucks dude !

maybe you could call a few studios to see if they will rent it to you.

i searched for "christmas backdrops" on google and found a lot of store-fronts that seem to have different options ...

They're out there, but spendy.

Check amvona acutions on eBay, or go to amvona.com. They have some lower cost ones.

In fact, I kinda need one too, and migh be able to throw some "rental" money your way of you'd like to share it.

Well, if the job you bid on/agreed to has now changed in scope, the compensation should as well. If you can swing that, then it should not matter what the cost is, as you should be able to pass that on to the company.

As to where to get them, I would really have no idea, although when I think of Christmas, I always associate it with fireplaces, and a decorated tree in the corner, along with deep mahogany shaded wood paneling. Home depot could help in this regard.

Thanks guys, I did find a few places to purchase them on the Internet. Like boxofrocks stated, they are "spendy". Might take up your offer if I can't pass it along to the company as Dobick suggested. Will keep you posted. This company appears to have the most selections available. http://www.dennymfg.com/store/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&c ategory_id=135&Itemid=26
