Seems like an odd size ratio for a business card....

Its a good start... you need to make sure your business card has your absolute best work on it... one very strong image is better than one strong image with 2 other "ok" images. (Not saying anything about the images you've chosen, since I don't know your work well enough to say these are your best or not.)

As Brad stated, it is an odd size for a business card. If you need a PS template, I have one that I can send you. I used it to design my most recent card.

I'm not digging the font scheme. I'd stick to two.

The scriprt / curly font of the upper region says "somewhat elegant, refined" but the lower fonts "modern, less vintage."

Also, try looking for alternative free fonts online... I'm not a big fan (personally) of the stock fonts in CS ... or in general. An "original" font (not one you see by default in MS Office or CS) adds a touch.

Thanks so much for everyone's input!! Like I said-I need all the help I can get!

John T, yes-please send me your template! Do you need my email addy-or do u send a link on here? Will it work with Elements 4.0?

Brad, of these three pics-which one would say is the best/worst? Os should I put a completley different pic on it?

Any other comments are surely welcome!

I may be a little more old school with the biz cards and photos - but I like them when they are neat, clean, and easy to read. Photos usually mess that up, imho. Where are you ordering your cards from? Many of the vendors have prefab templates you can use.

It seems your link to the web site is not active yet ??

Leave the back plain and uncoated. It makes writing notes on it much easier.

You need to go with a standard card size. Use a maximum of two fonts. If you must have a photo, then you need to pick a better one that the choices you've now used. You show a website, so the card and website should communicate a similarity of style. I think you should look at examples of "professional" business cards, and then imitate something like that. A free style design often spells amateur to the person you give it to and that is probably not the image you want.

Cheers,
Roger

Since you asked for honesty about your picture choices, I thought I'd give you my 2 cents as a complete novice photographer. I think the left hand picture looks very amateurish- the highlights are all blown out and the woman's smile seems forced and unnatural. In the middle pic, the focal point seems to be the woman's chest and doesn't seem all that flattering to me. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be fine art or what, but I wouldn't put it on my business card I was giving out to soccer moms. The blur in the right pic is way overdone for my taste as well.

I'm not trying to be mean- just thought you'd like honest opinions before you spend lots of money printing up cards that might not make the best first impression.

Is your business name Photolicious already set "in stone"?

Your name just doesn't "sound professional" too me. If you were just photographing food, then "Photolicious" sounds great, but the name just sounds juvenile. But that's my opinion. Why not just your name? I'll play around with your business card this evening.

Excellent. Simple and elegant. The website would then be tied into this theme also.
Cheers,
