Hi all,

I'm a newbie photog and was wondering what are my best resources to try and get my work published. What magazines should I be sending work into? What about contests, fairs, etc...? Anything that will get me noticed. I'm just starting out so any and all advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

No way to answer this question without a lot more information.
Have I ever seen any of your photographs ?

You could also ask Santa to bring you a copy of Photographer's Market.

Is Photographer's Market truly helpful? I've flipped through it in the past and always wondered...

Photographers Market is only helpful if you read it. It has the most upto date information that you can get. Submit to those who might be interested in your type of photography and you actually submit. Sitting on your coffee table does no go. But seriously, it is great information. I know the editor and have taken classes from Donna. She say it is all about submiting the right thing at the right time. Study the ones you think you want to submit too and look at past issues to help you.

Thanks for all the info. That's what I was looking for. I wasn't sure if it makes sense to just start sending out photos to magazines I read as a shot in the dark or really research those that are looking for photos.
