Here's a thread regarding a car forum who prints a calendar each year that features photos of the Member of the Month's black Ford Mustang and Ford Motor Company has sent their legal beagles out to shut them down. It seems Ford is claiming that Ford owns the trademarks to the car and to publish photos and logos of them in a calendar will violate their trademarks. The original thread is from

And while I'm pleased to report that FMC backed down and "permitted" the publishing of the calendar, it raises an interesting question, especially considering most of the cars featured in the photos are heavily customized with aftermarket wheels, tires, body kits, etc. Here's a link to the Black Mustang Club website that has a chronology of the incident.

It's interesting that a car company sucking their last breath through their teeth is worried about someone printing cool photos of cwner's cars and getting free publicity with it.
