So sometimes I use a store close to me to buy equipment and do some processing. But I also use an online store for processing. I use the online sstore because they are cheaper, but the store is better. So I didn't get the exposure correct on some photos and I don't think the onlline people did as good as they could have. So I'm thinking of sucking up the price and going to the store that is close, showling them the photos and asking if they think they could get them to look any better. Would this be tacky, or should I just have them print one and see how they do? I don't want to ruin the relationship with the store, as they have outstanding customer service and have treated me great. What would you do??

I think I'd just tell them I tried on-line because of the pricing, I've 'seen' the error of my ways and ask what they could do to help me out of the spot I'm in.

honesty is the best policy. remind them that this is not your first visit to their store and that you have spent some money there.

Agreed, what did I say that wasn't true?

Ray,
I don't think Tom was addressing your comments. I took it as suggesting Renae just going in and saying she tried someone else and wasn't happy, like you said.

And, Renae, no one should ever expect to get all of your business. Period. Different places provide different services. Some perform same services better than others, as you have found here. You owe no business any explaination for shopping elsewhere.

I would just show them what you have and ask if they can get better color, density, etc.

One time some employees at Home Depot told me they didn't have a plumbing part and I should check with Lowe's. I agree with others' comments: just be honest and willing to give them a little business.
