Senior photos

I would like to photograph and market to seniors but being that I am from Australia originally I have no idea how it works (we don't do senior pictures in Australia). Mainly I need to know what time of year they are taken so I can market at the right time. Any hints or helpful advise would be great!

Others will know for sure, but the few I've taken have been in the spring. Our school years here usually end in late May or early June.

Of course, some people plan much further in advance, but with all the other senior-year stuff going on, there are plenty who are probably looking for photos NOW.

You should go and join Senior Portrait Artists(SPA). Thats where the best senior photographer hang out. Thats where we go.

The early birds for seniors 2009 will be doing them this summer. And the dawdlers for 2008 are doing them now.

Are you referring to the people getting their photos taken, or the photographers?? I've been paid to do a senior( aka check has been in the bank!!!)..last Nov...they still haven't done them..I'm done bugging them...either they want them or they don't, but I'm done calling and asking!!
