Pat, I don't think there's anything wrong with marketing to people who can afford to pay and are willing to pay your prices. Obviously your photos are worth it, and I wish you a very successful business. :) I only meant that I can't imagine how regular people ever afford it -- which means I probably will never get really great photos of my family done. But that's ok; I'll save my money to get my used Honda fixed and remodel my son's bedroom (needs it badly!) and I'll keep practicing with my own camera until my photos are good enough for me. ;)

No offense taken, ever. I think we should all be able to share our thoughts here in a frank and open manner without worrying about people having their feelings on their sleeves. I know I don't.

ok, i know i'll reget this but here is my 2 cents worth- i do not drive a mercedes. i drive a chevy. i vacation were people who have private planes and cooks vacation i cook my own meals and go funjet if it is the cheapest. my kids college is paid for in advance because i take my own lunch and change my own oil and mow my own yard. people sacrifice some things to spend on others i know that i do. i think we can cost ouselves alot of money and business by trying to decide for others what is "worth spending their money on" i will produce a quality product and price it accordingly. there is no shame in this. does this make any sense at all?
