I was recently at an car enthusiast meet up over the weekend and had a couple of car owners wanting to do a photoshoot? I was wondering what I should charge?

1 car please. lol. Use your hourly rate. And then it depends on what they are using the shots for, what rights they need, etc.

My guess is that these car enthusiasts want a few prints of their babies.
If you go with the hourly rate plus usage fees you are likely to lose their business.
Find out what they want and what they expect. Remember, they are not photographers and their idea of a car shoot may be completely different from yours. If I had the free time to do a shoot like this, and it wasn't my bread and butter occupation, I'd likely tell them what a print of various sizes would cost and see if they are still interested. If they want to make and sell calendars, postcards, billboards, magazine ads, etc. then we move into the commercial area and go with Holly's suggestion.
