In terms of everyone makes mistakes - they do, but these were newB mistakes. And I honestly think that you shouldnt be making fatal mistakes that a whole session could be tossed, unless you and all your gear fell in the lake. You should KNOW what your skill level is before you go pro. If you hate calling yourself pro, you probably arent there yet. Coby's right, you do NOT want to get sued. Refine your skills more and learn from this. ISO at 1600 and posing screw ups are preventable. Getting the kids to look in the same direction is also doable, when you know what you are doing. That kind of stuff isnt mistakes you should be making as a pro. Sorry if that was harsh, but I'd rather not get into legal hoopla with momzilla. I wouldnt wish that on anyone. |

My revival of the thread had nothing to do with user error ... I have 12 years as a professional photographer behind me. The technical details were just fine. This is about picky clients who don't like how they look, despite efforts to pose them in ways that tried to hide their flaws. It wasn't enough for them.
