May Need Photographer Shooing Film Med Format - 04-22-2008, 12:39 PM

I have a client that seems to be set on doing a shoot using film, and I'm not going to rent a camera and get used to it, to do a small shoot. Any one here shooting film, medium format, that might be interested give me a pm.
Company located in Arlington, TX. and has been a complete PIA so far.

I cannot recommend them because I don't know them, but I came across a photographer whose studio is near my house over here in North Richland Hills/Haltom City. Info. on his site says they use medium-format film cameras exclusively.

I'm too far away. Shucks.

I would match you're client well. I know I'm a PIA.

what's the client's reason for film rather than digital? what will be the final usage of the photograph?

I can understand a photographer wanting to shoot film sometimes but for a client they surely don't understand the digital world. With a good digital file and PS you can make any image look like film. I'd dig a little deeper to find out what they are expecting from film and let them know it can be done digitally.

Thanks Guys. The reason for film is that the CEO doesnt know his A** from a hole in the ground. We started with them wanting a male/female model in the late 30's early 40's, so I found them what they liked, then the film VS digital, now they have a friend for a model, mid twenties, and want one of their software guys as a model. Later, software guy cant model, so I contact the one they orignally selected. Then they come back, with another friend for a model. AHHHHHHH
Move over Big Dog, I may join you in that retirement.

Yup. There's room in the Club with Big Dog and me.

I thought I could be a PIA. These folks could teach a degree program on the subject.

Make no mistake, there are still projects that are best captured and presented with film.
