Quick Pricing Question

Customer needs a head shot for her website and marketing, how & what do you charge for 1 high res image (cc & touchup included) for her web & marketing?

How about if she likes & wants 2 or 3images instead, do you start pricing it out differently?

I'm charging $45 to shoot on location, is this the going rate out there in relation to how the gas price is now?

I charge a $49.00 session fee for a studio session. It is $50.00 additional if I go to them and do "strobist" style lighting. It is more than that if I set up a background and lights. The first basic retouched image at 8X10 @ 200dpi is $49.00. Major retouching is extra. Each additional image is $35.00. I am in the middle of the price range for my area. I hope that helps.

I charge $99 and that includes a retouched, hi res image on CD with a release that says they can use that image for self promotion and personal use (not for sale as stock, essentially).

For a basic headshot for Execs or actors, etc. I charge $100 which gives them two images ( extra charge for location shooting ).

They get the hi-res images on CD with the usual usage release.
