Question How would you go about doing this? - 05-17-2008, 01:53 PM

Okay, I have a girl who just bought a few sheets of wallets to send out with her graduation invitations. She is also wanting to buy a disc from me and then wait til mid-June when her graduation is here because she has family coming in and wants them to look at the photos so they can order what they want. Well, how do I go about that since I am afraid they will buy the disc and then end up never hearing from them again? I know that I have to write a copyright release form or what not for them to go elsewhere to get them printed off but still. Any suggestions?
Should I just show them a disc....or let them buy a disc with "proof" or "copyright" written on the phtoos so they can go print them off somewhere else or just show them the disc and then wait til she orders to actually GIVE it to them

Set up an online gallery. If you're concerned that they will grab images from it, put a big watermark across each one (easily done with a PS action).

i wish i could afford the online gallery stuff. but ya i think i will just put "proof" or what not (something) across the photos that way they dont copy them...i just wasnt sure what the "more professional" way of doing them was and i didnt want to get stuck in something and not be able to get out

use photoreflect (it's free) and setup an online gallery - put proof on each photo -- photoreflect can do that automatically when you upload the gallery - and then let them proof and buy from there....that way she can send her family a link and you don't have to worry about them using the images on the cd...

if you want to go the cd route then use proof size lo-res images on the cd with proof watermarked across them and that way they can't print the images and if they try to resize them they won't be happy with the end result.

Pictology is also free. They take a cut if you sell anything.
