I'm not in the business, but have a question about selling images.

I have some MLB images that I took from the stands on a Flickr page, and recently received an inquiry asking if I would be interested in selling some of them. I seem to recall some language on the back of tickets saying that you cannot sell any audio or video reproduction of the games, but don't have a ticket handy. A quick Google did not give me an immediate answer.

Anyone know the "rules" on this?

Your memory is correct. You may not disseminate any images, video, or audio accounts of the game without "the express, written consent of Major League Baseball and the Texas Rangers" .. and I'm sure the other team, too.

Thanks.

Interestingly, the pics were from a game last season. I wondered if someone connected with one of the teams or MLB baseball was fishing for violators. In any event, I cannot imagine that the money that could be had for them would be enough to offset the hassle factor.
