Question Roes - 05-22-2008, 02:18 PM

Is it just me, or does it take an eternity to send an order to whcc? Am I doing this the hard way by using ROES?

hmmm, I've never had a problem using WHCC's roes. You could ftp it, but I don't know anything about that :)

Every so often I hear of issues with roes, but I've been lucky to not have any.

I'm usually doing something else when it's uploading so I've never really notice how long it takes.

It isn't whcc, it's ROES. Same for any lab. S-l-o-w. And I'm only sending a few at a time for portraits. I can't imagine a wedding.

Not really a problem Howard. I just set it up to send it after midnight and when I come in the next morning it's done. I'm on cable so I get faster uploads after midnight. Also, the labs servers are mostly idle at that time.

I never noticed it being all that slow... But I never send large print orders through them so...

Gotta say though... ROES sure beats the heck out of the manual labeling and FTP solution WHCC used to have.. I hated that.

If I was still doing weddings, I'm sure I would do that. Good idea, Don.

Hi! I have had an issue with ROES too--it is a little slow. I am not sure what you were sending in. I use www.fullcolor.com and I only use ROES when I have too--llike on Press cards or something. Other than that I use their order system--I think they developed it themselves and it is much more user friendly and much faster.
