Question Looking for a "MUA" for a corporate shoot (date change) - 06-11-2008, 11:21 AM

Hi everyone--long time no see! I've been slammed with work, selling one house, and buying another, so I've been pretty rare around these parts lately.

I could use some suggestions on something---I have a shoot in Dallas area on Thurs, 7/24/08 where I'll be shooting about 40 corporate portraits, almost all men. They've requested I have an assistant available to help coordinate them and get them ready for the shot.

Make up isn't really what I need--other than maybe dabbing some oily spots with some light powder at times. What I really need in addition to that is someone that has experience handling folks and relaxing them prior to the shoot. This is a very conservative company, so while a young, hip chick is probably cool, lots of tats, blue hair and piercings probably won't be.

They've requested a "younger" female, but that really means anything under 30 to them. I don't know what I should budget for this, but we're probably looking at a full day (9-5--probably less) at the Marriott Legacy at Legacy and the tollway.

Can anyone think of someone I should call? Feel free to PM me.

Thanks a heap.

I'm wondering why the company would care the age or gender of the makeup artist?

I would suspect comfort level has a lot to do with it.

Tara is an amazing makeup artist, but it seems like a waste of her skills.

I know several ladies who would fit the bill, but they work full time for agencies and taking a day off would not likely be profitable.
I'll PM one suggestion.
