Has anyone read "Best Business Practices for Photographers" by John Harrington? If so, then this question is for you.
In chapter 10, he goes over estimates/contracts in regards to Editorial Clients. You'll notice that on the back of his estimates, he has the "standard" license agreement (with some tweaks) between a photographer and their editorial client.
But in Chapter 11, where he goes over estimates for corporate clients, but does not include the license agreement in the estimate. Why is that? Instead, he, more or less, just has an estimate with some delivery/payment wording.
Furthermore, in last estimate of Chapter 11, he only has a custom contract, as opposed to the standard license agreement. What's the difference?
Am I missing something? Why the 3 different approaches?
Thank you in advance for your feedback. |
