If anyone is contemplating redoing (or finally getting around to doing) a business card... and you are like me... want to have something in hand to see / touch / feel / evaluate the concept (or various concepts)... then I can confirm that the Avery "clean edge" business cards stock paper stuff that you can get in OfficeDepot and such is a good option.
Package of 20 sheets (200 cards) runs ~$15 - $25 depending upon the style (white / ivory, gloss / matte / linen )
I ran a couple of the inkjet, linen, double-sided ones through last night and it definitely helped.
Would probably work well if you are evaluating response rates on card designs as well... and you want very small qty very quickly.
The only problem I ran into is that my printer is about 5 years old and is getting a bit worn... and had some difficulty feeding the bottom portion of the heavy stock through... so out of a 10 card sheet... the last 4 get screwed up.
