Wow Tina, Do you really think he should be prepared, after all it is just photography not rocket science. I have people call me often with a story like Stacy’s and I give them the same advice Tina offered. Every photographer has to start with the “first job”, but when you do you should at least have the minimum in equipment and the minimum in knowledge. The saddest thing about the business of photography is that so few people that do this for money ever get into business. My only complaint is not the unprepared, it is the fact that most give their work away. Stacy if you do the job, charge like you’ve been doing this all your life and then your photography can pay for itself.

That is my biggest concern, not if i can do it. I can. It is what to charge since i am a photography student and i am new to this. I dont want to over charge but I dont want to not charge at all.
