I just had a blurb book printed on their new premium paper. I really wasn't all that impressed. I've liked their products in the past, so I don't know if I just got a dud. Or what the deal is.

Email Blurb and talk to them. They have always been very good at fixing their mistakes in the past when I have come across one or two.
Good Luck.

I just received two albums from Millers and they are of amazing quality. I was very surprised on how reasonable the pricing was as well.

Millers is fast.

Blurb is lacking imho. It looks like a consumer product (some may say b/c it is a consumer product).

Asuka is great pro product.

Millers is very fast. Ordered them Sunday, received yesterday. Asuka was stating that this time of year to allow 4-8 weeks for delivery. Four weeks is their normal turn-around time.

Asukas usually reach me in 6 weeks. Debbi - what did you have Millers print up? They had some new products I was thinking about trying when I update my stuff at the end of the year.

I ordered a flush mount hinged and one of their companion layflat albums (which I LOVE). So far, I've had super feedback on the quality of the albums - and you can't beat the turnaround time.

I second Miller's. I have LOVED every album I've printed through them and they are fast.

I just received a book from MyCanvas through Smug Mug.
The print quality is ok. If you look real close you can see the low-ish DPI. Not like a real photo, but it's good enough for people who don't know better. I wouldn't be happy selling it to a client for as much as I'd have to mark it up. Fortunately this was just a gift for somone.
I got the hard cover leather bound, and it's soft, sweet-smelling leather. The stitch binding is visible, but not annoying.
Here's a couple of pics:

The book was disappointingly thin for 25 pages, but I guess that's the way it is. I wonder if their $350 'premium' books are much different.
Because the price lists are public, and their website and logo are on the last page, I'm not sure if they intend for them to be sold by photographers to clients. Perhaps its more of a DIY for P&S'rs.
The book designing software is great though. Myriad options available.
I want to try Asuka, and I'm going to check out Miller now.
