Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience? - 11-20-2008, 12:52 PM

I've not been around in a while, because I took a year off doing photography to teach school. I'm back now and hopefully will start shooting some again.

My daughter and step son are having their b'nai mitzvah April 4th and my friend who was going to photograph the event just backed out. (arg!)

Do any of you have any experience in this area or know of someone who does? We will want photos before the service of the children and close family (from around 9:00-10:00 am) then pictures of the party from around 7:00-11:00.

Please let me know...I'd much rather go with someone from this forum than some completely random stranger. You can email me at: soonerfanbethanne@gmail.com or just post your information on this thread.

Thanks!
Beth

I do have a friend who has shot one bat mitzvah. From his experience, I know the proceedings require a skills set similar to wedding photography and photojournalism.

I am interested. Could also enlist my friend's assistance if you want two photogs.
