shooting for corporate sponsors

I'm new to this site, so I look forward to any advice available. I'm into Event photography on a small scale. Meetings luncheons etc. I meet a Guy in LA that shoots for corp sponsors such as Chevy US army and Coca cola. I would love to bid on something like this, but I don't have any idea of procedures or what department to inquire with. If anyone has experience in the area, any help would be appreciated.

You are going to be in direct competition with me. Why would I help you take jobs away from me ?? Cause that's how we work here on TPF.

If you have any promotional material , i.e. brochure, postcards, business card, etc. start sending it to the companies you are interested in. Send it attention Public Relations, Marketing, Employee Event coordinator, etc.
A call to the switch board explaining what you want to accomplish can sometimes get you a name or even into the voice mail of someone there.
stay out of Tarrant County.......

If you have a web site or something to display your work, send it to me so I can refer you to clients in your area that I can't do.
